Pyramid Vritra, the alias of Jet Age Of Tomorrow and Super 3’s Hal Williams, has released his debut physical LP, 'The Story Of Marsha Lotus' which features 5 new songs on a 500 only release.
As half of The Jet Age Of Tomorrow, half of The Super 3, part Odd Future, and part NRK, not to mention his production in NRK and the two Jet Age Of Tomorrow albums ‘Voyager’ and ‘Journey To The 5th Echelon’, Hal Williams has already built a reputation as one of the most outlandish producers of modern hip-hop. Even at the tender age of 19, and under his additional solo alias of Pyramid Vritra, Williams has already released two unfinished story albums for free: ‘Elouise’ and ‘Elenor’.
With ‘The Story of Marsha Lotus’, Williams’ twisted take on production takes a turn to the extreme. Spanning nigh-on fifteen minutes in length, it is more a conceptual opus in itself than any diamond-encrusted attempt at a hit. With a foundation in Badu-ism winding it’s way around an obelisk of twisted electronica and chopped up, near indecipherable drum samples, it's doubtless Williams is at his most thrillingly adventurous.
